Our aim when rebuilding Treall was to use local trades, buy from local companies where possible, be as friendly to the environment as we could be, whilst providing a comfortable space to escape and relax.

All the tiles in the house were supplied by North Coast Tile Company and the kitchen was supplied by Duchy Designs.

Environmental Considerations

To keep our environmental impact to a minimum we have installed an air source heat pump, solar panels, EV charge point, added extra insulation and used double glazing throughout.  The Oltco resin driveway is made from waste plastics.  The rugs are made from recycled cotton tufts and recycled plastic bottles.  The wool carpets have a recycled underlay too.

The wood light pendants are made by Tom Raffield, a local craftsman leading the way in sustainable design.  In the kitchen we have compostable kitchen cloths and cork placemats and coasters from Love Liga, a Cornish company that make all their products with sustainable materials.  Even the Grind coffee pods in our welcome pack are compostable!
